I'll be a regret for tonight's meeting as we have an ArtRide along the Blue
Transitway.
Progress on my to do items:
- ACU Reports - I've located the grant report form and should be able to
get the report for the Organizational Capacity Development grant filled in
and submitted tonight.
- I'll put in a progress report on the Local Bike Groups Launch tonight
as well.
- Scanning of receipts is still on my to do list
- I haven't heard anything from the province about the Climate grant for
bikeshare. I'll follow up tomorrow.
- Misty and I will have to get together to get a cheque to MB's finance
minister ready for what we owe off of the BSC grant for the Bicycle Valet
Expansion project
- We should also get a $150 cheque written for our Velo Canada Bike
membership
- I need to set up transfers for Stephanie and Aaron to complete the
Bicycle Valet Expansion project, which will allow me to submit a payment
request to the city for our Community Incentive Grant
- We have the following coming in from Eventbrite for our rides
- $560 for the am StrikeBike! is on its way
- $500 for the pm StrikeBike! is on its way
- I have to deposit $40 from walk up sales for StrikeBike! as well
- $130 for the Power & Politics ride we did on August 22nd should get
released September 30th (I have no idea why this payment has a
wait and the
others don't - everything looks the same to me)
- I'm hoping that we'll get another $250 from rides taking place this
weekend by the end of the month
- There will be one additional Pedal into History ride
- There will be 2 Pedal Powered Ghost Tours - ONe downtown, and one
in Seven Oaks that should net us about $200 - $300.
- We're a bit low on our Pedal into History
For StrikeBike!, we overlapped with Doors Open, which was a bit accidental
as we rescheduled, and Doors Open was delayed. Danny would like to make
StrikeBike! part of Doors Open next year. That's a free event, so we would
not be able to charge, but Danny thinks we could likely get funding through
Doors open as long as we ask soon enough. It might also be possible to get
Heritage grants for this as well. I'll talk with Danny next week and reach
out to Cindy at Doors Open with a proposal, but feel free to email me any
ideas. My thinking is that we'd we'd run 4 rides over the Doors Open
weekend - 10am & 2pm both Saturday and Sunday and ask for $1,000 to replace
what we could likely make outside of Doors Open. I'd accept $800, less if
we can manage to get some Heritage money (which could include StrikeBike!
and the Pedal into History rides).
For the videographer budget, I don't think we will end up buying any
equipment or subscriptions, so we will stick to just salary as an expense.
