<p>Oh dear, you do have a lot on your plate. Ok, how about we cancel the meeting on Wednesday evening and I send the committee a summary of the board feedback for the various position statements received (so far, 3 board members have not commented at all,
but I do have comments from 4 or 5 with a promise of one more coming in tonight maybe). I will wait till tomorrow to send this. Then perhaps we can have at least a brief electronic discussion of them and see if any are ready to go to the board for voting
on October 12th? </p>

<p>I will also send out a separate doodle poll with potential meeting dates in late October. Ian, I do hope that we can concentrate next on a helmet position statement and your input drafting a starting version seems to make sense, given your previous research
and media discussions. <br>

to have laser eye surgery Thursday morning so I should probably have an early night Wednesday as I've been up late pretty much every night working on our projects. </div>

<p>Life always throws a curve ball. I now have to fly to Victoria tomorrow to help out a son with a concussion. I am not planning to be back until Oct. 1st, assuming that he improves some. Ian - is there any chance I could Skype in to our meeting at your
place on Wednesday evening? So far, I have written feedback on the position statements from Jeremy, Rachel, Kailey and Charles with Kaye's also promised shortly. I've not heard (yet) from Doug or Bill (if you have thoughts you want to share prior). I can
collate the board's feedback and share that ahead of the meeting if Skyping (or even a phone on speaker?) is possible. It is not ideal but with the three of you in one room and only one person at a distance, it might work. Otherwise, we could try to postpone
the meeting again, but Ian has surgery and then I am away as of the 6th for a long-planned trip, so it seems to me better if we try to meet as planned. What do you folks think? In addition to reviewing the existing statements, I am hoping we can start to
think through the bike helmet statement, which certainly is timely. Bill, you stated that you feel we need lots of discussion on this, so perhaps you can lead off that talk.</p>
