[Policy] Leap Manifesto

I agree with the Leap document as well; it doesn't provide all the answers,
but to me it is about starting and engaging people in conversations about a
future that is fundamentally different. There are some bold imaginative
ideas for sure, but I believe the documents strength is how broad it is. It
allows a group such as Bike Winnipeg to be inspired by it and become part
of a larger conversation on the bigger question which I believe is - "how
do we get to a future where humankind is more ecologically in-tune with the
life support systems that earth provides?"
If we can all agree that as a fundamental principle we need to improve our
relationship with the planet, and by extension each other, then the
question really shifts to "how does biking fit into a shared vision for a
future that is fundamentally different? To me, this is a question that we
can tackle.
