Thanks Misty,

I understand the concern over the membership, donations, and sponsorship
numbers, but I do feel that they are a realistic goal when combined.

The proposed budget does increase our revenue from donations, membership,
and sponsorship over last year, but I do think it's achievable. Last year
we were able to pull in 17,445 in memberships and donations and $750 in
sponsorship, which was actually above our budgeted total of $18,000 for
these revenue items. That was in a Covid shortened year. This year we will
be able to get out into the community far more often, we will have a fuller
menu of activities, and if we choose to take advantage of the Canada Summer
Jobs position for a Local Bike Groups coordinator, we can make use of that
position (30-40 hours per week for up to 16 weeks at a cost to us of about
$4500) we can use that position to help increase sponsorship and donations.

The proposed budget calls for a 32% increase over the previous year. I
think it's doable. The Social Enterprises header just encapsulates our
existing Bicycle Valet, group rides, and bike rack contracts along with
funding we have already received for two cycling audits. Apart from the
cycling audits which we have received payment for, they are based on the
same numbers we normally report and were in previous budgets.

We need to make a decision on the Canada Summer Jobs agreement as soon as
possible as the position is up in the air until we decide to take on or
dismiss that agreement.

The other item that we need to be careful of is the bike racks contract,
but I think that's doable as well. The Local Bike Groups coordinator
position can help there as well.

I hope this helps somewhat. I'm open to questions.

Cheers,
Mark Cohoe
